THE COMMUNITY, ALONG WITH PROVINCIAL, REGIONAL AND MUNICIPAL LEADERSHIP HAVE ALL EXPRESSED INTEREST IN THE SMART GROWTH OF MOBILITY HUBS. IMPROVED TRANSIT SOLUTIONS HAVE BECOME AN IMPORTANT FOCUS FOR ONTARIO. OVAL COURT WILL ADDRESS THIS NEED FOR BURLINGTON RESIDENTS TODAY AND TOMORROW.

The Oval Court Plan will be compatible with its surroundings allowing Halton Region to meet its population and employment Growth targets without affecting surrounding industry, while enhancing the economy in a neighbourhood that is in the midst of an important transformation.

THE PLAN PROMOTES SMART GROWTH – INTELLIGENT URBAN DENSITY, APPROPRIATE MIXED-USE INTENSIFICATION, UTILIZATION OF EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRANSIT SOLUTIONS TO HELP MOVE PEOPLE FREELY.

The City:

PEOPLE ARE EAGER FOR IMPROVED LIFE EXPERIENCES. THEY RECOGNIZE THE NEED FOR COMMUNITY BUILDING THAT WILL ADD VALUE AND MORE QUALITY OF LIFE EXPERIENCES TO THEIR NEIGBOuRHOODS.

A SURVEY SUGGESTS THAT THE NEIGHBOURS FEEL THAT OVAL COURT IS WELL SUITED FOR MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT. THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT WOULD PROVIDE A RANGE OF USES TO SUPPORT FUTURE AND EXISTING RESIDENTS.

PROVIDING ACCESS TO GO TRANSIT, BURLINGTON TRANSIT, AND LINKAGES TO SHERWOOD FOREST PARK WILL MAKE THIS PART OF BURLINGTON LESS RELIANT ON CARS.

Burlington
